Peter Papadopulos was a beloved figure in his community, known for his kind and friendly nature. His career journey began as a tennis professional at the Bellevue Racquet Club, transitioning into a commercial real estate career with Wahl and Associates for over twenty years. He concluded his professional life serving the community of Skagit County.
Peter graduated from Interlake High School in 1970. His passion for sports was not just an early career but a way of life; he was an active athlete who dedicated much of his time coaching and mentoring. Even in retirement, he continued to engage in sports, particularly golf, competing with friends and family and volunteering at Avalon Golf Course.
Peter’s greatest love was to be in solid relationship with others. He loved to challenge, to listen, and to learn about others and what their deepest values were. He was passionate about reconciling differences between people. He used his skills volunteering as a mediator in Skagit County and as a friend to many who loved and trusted him .
Peter met his wife Pat on the tennis courts. They were married in 1975 and raised three children, Patty, Alex and Nick. He was so proud of his seven grandchildren whom he loved dearly and made efforts to be in an open, understanding relationship with all of them.
He leaves behind a loving family: his wife Pat, daughter Patty Tacklind, sons Alex and Nick Papadopulos, sisters Mia Simonson and Camille Winn and their spouses, and seven very special grandchildren, and so many nieces and nephews he cared so deeply about. He loved them all and they loved him back.
Sadly, Peter passed away on August 19, 2026, in Mount Vernon, WA. He was 73 years old.
