Sean Michael Stanelun

Sean grew up in Bellevue, WA and graduated from Interlake HS in 1979. He had a BA in Communications from Aquinas College, graduating with honors. He also had degrees in Radio, Television, and Political Science. Sean was a professional videographer and photographer; particularly skilled in documentary. He got his first job in TV working for Ted Turner at USA Today. Sean later owned and operated Manito Video Productions. He won several awards, including the NPPA Award for best regional feature.

Sean was a wrestler in HS and an exceptional soccer player. He volunteered as a coach at the Lake Hills Soccer Club. He loved hunting & shooting, fishing & boating, and spent two seasons in Alaska on a crab boat. Sean had a droll sense of humor, creativity, a kind heart, and remarkable patience. He was a terrific and loving father, devoted husband, compassionate son, and cherished brother.

Sean died on January 23, 2010, due to complications following pancreatic surgery and necrotizing fasciitis.

Sadly, his younger sister, Stephanie, is also listed on the IHS Memorial Wall. Her entry is under the class of 1984.

His obituary can be found here.
