James, who was also known as Tsy-Chyi Chou, was a periodontist who practiced in Southern California. He passed away on his 46th birthday, on March 16, 2018.

Matt was killed in a car accident in Seattle on March 21, 1991. He was riding along with his friend, Matthew Lustyk, who was seriously injured in the accident, but survived.
