Dr. Pickering - “Doc Pic” - was the much-loved and highly-respected principal at Interlake between 1970 until 1986. Prior to that, he was vice-principal at Highland and then also at Odle.
He passed away on September 15, 2012, at San Juan Rehabilitation and Care Center in Anacortes. He was 83 years old.
