After Interlake, Mike attended the University of Washington, Portland State University, and Portland Community College. He worked for Bales Thriftway store from 1981 until 1990, and had been employed by Triple ‘S’ Sales at the time of his death. He married Katie Pastor in August 1989.
Sadly, Mike died of cancer in a Portland-area care center on Sunday, October 25, 1992. He was only 29 years old.
