Laura Cook taught in the Bellevue School District for nearly twenty years, in particular as a typing and business machines teacher at Interlake.
Prior to becoming a teacher, she graduated from Oregon State, where she was a business major and the president of the Chi Omega Sorority. She married her husband Richard in 1943, they moved to Clyde Hill in 1959, and she soon started her teaching career in Bellevue.
Laura died of cancer on June 21, 2002. She was 81 years old.
