Jill, aka Jill Marie Gibson Lanska, was born in Minneapolis, MN to Joe and Judy Rispalje. She spent her younger years in Washington State and graduated from Interlake in 1985. Jill and her family then moved back to Minneapolis, and she attended the University of Minnesota where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture. In 2005 Jill started her computer company called Softech Solutions, which she was still operating at the time of her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband, Josiah Lanska; sons, Will (Hannah) and Ben Gibson, Tristan and Aidan Lanska; brother, Jim Rispalje (fiancé, Angela Hoehne); nephew and neice Jameson and Jolia Rispalje; and her K-9 fur babies, Cache, Cloud, and Data, also by other family and friends.
Jill was a bright spark in this world and she will be deeply missed. She passed away on May 24, 2026, after a short and fierce battle with cancer. She was 59 years old.
