Ryan contracted a bacterial infection while at Virginia Mason Hospital when someone forgot to wash their hands. He slipped into a coma and died of mersa (staph infection) on July 14th, 2003. He was 19 years old. Ryan was a great guy and his loss was a tragedy for everyone that knew him.
